WARRINGTON WRITERS' GROUP
Warrington is a thriving town with LOTS of undiscovered writing talent. We're hoping to bring all this talent together once a month to enjoy each other's creations, talk about all things linked to writing (and reading) and hopefully have some fun in the process.
The group came about as a spin-off from Warrington Collegiates "creative writing" course - we want to expand the group and invite any other aspiring writers to join us - everyone's welcome.
We'll be meeting on the second Wednesday of each month in the snug at the Bull's Head, Church Street at 8pm.
The idea for the evenings is for people to bring along a piece of writing (just a couple of pages) to read out to the group. We'll then all review the work - in a kind and constructive way - and then move on to the next victim (errr I mean contributor!)
Please come along and join us - you don't HAVE to bring anything along if you'd prefer to just come and enjoy the company.
We're also thinking of running some kind of online monthly challenge - mebbe even with a prize - but the details on this idea is a bit sketchy!
It's FREE to come along, tho we may make a minimal collection to put together the monthly prize. We'll see what people think about that idea at our first meeting.
