After too many years in the newspaper business I managed to sleep my way to the bottom before debunking to, what was then, local radio.

 I was then paid very badly and infrequently (bosses at Radio Warrington please take note!) for doing something I enjoyed. The gig involved covering Premiership Football, Super League and cricket for several stations for around 10 years before being rumbled.

At just about the same time I found out about broccoli, (mmm!) and have been on the slippery slope every since – hence my lobbing up at Radio Warrington.
