Danny Bates
It was in 2005 that I found my passion for Radio after doing work experience in high school for a local radio station. From then I was determined that radio was the place for me and set out in hope to get involved.
I had to wait a whole year till I was 17 before I could join Warrington's Hospital Radio Station and from there started to live out the dream that I had.
I started off collecting requests on a Friday night and it wasn't long till I worked my way up to my own show, presenting two hours of a large variety of music.
From this I wanted to take my love of Radio further and began a three year Radio Production course at The University of Chester in Padgate, Warrington and began my own show on the University Station there on a Saturday night.
Now you can hear me on Radio Warrington, every Saturday afternoon, with the Saturday sports show with all of your Premier League goals plus local football team Warrington Town Football Club. If you would like your sports team to be mentioned on our sports show why not get in touch via our "Contact" page.
Being in my teenage years I like a lot of Dance music and RnB, the sort of stuff you would hear on a night out, though as your parents say, "the old ones are the best" and cant escape wanting to play some of the classics from the 80's and the greatest cheesy music generation of the 90's! Which is why you can always catch me DJ'ing in Babylon nightclub in Warrington town centre. Also on a smaller note, I am a huge Leeds United fan!!
