Radio Warrington's sports team presented a special show from Canteliever Park in Warrington to cover the game between Warrington Town and Leigh Genesis

Saturday 29th August 2009

Radio Warrington had a reporter in the Pub at the Cinnamon Brow Farm to capture the atmosphere as a room full of Warrington Wolves fans watched TV coverage of their team winning the Challenge Cup at Wembley on a huge projector.

Sunday 30th August 2009

Radio Warrington took the OB van to The Maltings Pub in Old Hall, Warrington to support The Warrington Disability Partnership's Fun day.

We then drove around the streets of Warrington interviewing Warrington Wolves fans as the team paraded the Carnegie Challenge Cup around the town. 

Monday 31st August 2009 (Bank Holiday)

Radio Warrington was heavily involved in the Cinnamon Brow Family Fun day. We ran speakers outside and interviewed representitives from St Rocco's and the Birchwood Lions amounst other people.


SEPTEMBER 2009

Friday 4th September 2009

Radio Warrington's sports team presented a special show from Canteliever Park in Warrington to cover the game between Warrington Town and Mossley

Saturday 5th September 2009

Radio Warrington took the van to the Farmers Market which took place in the forecourt of Warrington Market and broadcast all day interviewing most of the stall holders including Market Manager Steve Pickering as well as a Del Boy lookalike.

Saturday 12th September 2009

The team took the van to Fearnhead Show where we broadcast from Lycander Community High School and talked to most of the stall holders and local people including the Mayor.

Radio Warrington's sports team broadcast the Saturday Sports show from Canteliever Park bringing sports updates from the game between Warrington Town and Nantwich Town and then interviewed the manager Joey Dunn and scorer Jimmy McCarthy

Sunday 13th September 2009

Radio Warrington broadcast its afternoon show from the press bench at the Halliwell Jones Stadium including full-match commentary of the game between the Warrington Wolves and Harlequins

Radio Warrington's sports team broadcast the Saturday Sports show from Canteliever Park bringing sports updates from the game between Warrington Town and Curzon Ashton and then interviewed the manager Joey Dunn and Chief Exec Gary Skentelbery.


October, November &December 2009

We have continued to support Warrington Town by attending all of their games and broadcasting full shows from the grounds both home and away. We have done outside broadcasts from Fearnhead Community Centre and Longbarn County Primary School.

We have broadcast many shows from outside Warrington Market for their Christmas showcase in November and all three days for their French Market in December.


January 2010

During the early weeks of the year, heavy snow closed many of the minor roads in the Town.  Radio Warrington continued to broadcast its 24 hour service despite many presenters being unable to travel to the studios at Cinnamon Brow Farm Community Centre which was closed for several days. We set up temporary studios in our own homes in Orford, Latchford, Woolston, Sankey and Callands which we used for 10 days until the Community Centre was open again.

February, March, April 2010

Radio Warrington contnued with outside broadcasts from all Warrington Town FC games and full match commentary from the Halliwell Jones stadium. Our sports team also decided to begin covering someaway games as well starting with Challenge Cup games which we continued to do right through to the Wembley Final.

May 2010

 

Radio Warringtons's Kevin Farrell  broadcast from 9pm on the day of the General Election from Birchwood Tennis Centre as the counting was carried out and continued to broadcast until 6am the following day until the local results were all in. He interviewed all local candidates

 

June 2010

Radio Warrington's Phil Edwards did a full week of outside broadcasts from schools and community centres. Radio Warrington was also present and broadcasting at Warrington Market for the Farmers Market and the Classic Transport Show in Time Square.

 

July 2010

Kevin Farrell broadcast from the van on the Town Hall lawn for Warrington Walking Day. He then moved over to the Ring O Bells to cover a fun day there.

Radio Warrington's Phil Edwards hosted the launch of the WDP events in the lead up to Disability Awareness Day. The launch was held in the Old Fishmarket in Golden Square and featured a wide variety of entertainment. Radio Warrington's Outside Broadcast Van was also in attendance broadcasting from the event.

On Disability Awareness Day in Walton Gardens, Radio Warrington's  Phil Edwards also hosted the main entertainments arena whilst Steve Lewis interviewed dozens of exhibitors live on air.

The following weekend Radio Warrington attended Warrington Music Festival including the Youth Festival in Queens Gardens. We also visited the Drum Corp Festival and under 11's Rugby Tournament in Victoria Park

 

August 2010

Radio Warrington were invited to broadcast from a fun day organised bt the Warrington RSPCA at their Animal Welfare Centre in Bank Quay. Later that day we also broadcast full match commentary from the Stobart Stadium in Widnes for the Warrington Wolves game.

We also attended the VPX youth fun day at Victoria Park playing music and interviewing members of the public and the organisations attending the event
